Editorial Policy

This policy explains how Periodic Learn creates, reviews, fact-checks and maintains its chemistry content.

Editorial responsibility

All educational content is prepared and reviewed by the Periodic Learn editorial team, which combines background in chemistry and science education. Content is written to be accurate, clear and consistent with the curriculum it supports.

Sources and standards

Scientific values follow recognised references, including IUPAC recommendations, the NIST Physical Measurement Laboratory and the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics. Curriculum alignment corresponds to guidance from the Curriculum Development Centre (CDC), Nepal.

Review and fact-checking

Data and explanations are checked against authoritative references before publication. Numerical tools (balancers, calculators and simulators) are tested against known correct results.

Corrections

When an error is identified, we correct it promptly and, where relevant, note the change. To report an issue, contact us with the page URL and the detail in question.

Automation and human oversight

Some content or code may be drafted with the assistance of software tools, but published material is reviewed by a human editor and validated against reference sources before it goes live.

Update cadence

Content is reviewed periodically and updated when standards, curriculum or reference values change. The date at the top of each page reflects its most recent review.

Scientific Reference Standards & Attribution: Element atomic weights, standard reduction potentials, and quantum configurations conform to recommendations of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), the NIST Physical Measurement Laboratory, and the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics. Secondary and higher secondary curriculum alignment corresponds to the Curriculum Development Centre (CDC), Nepal.
